Cleaning

I always get into larger projects when I just wanna do a little cleaning. The other day I wanted to clean the kitchen floor and roughly wipe some dust off the shelves, and ended up thoroughly cleaning my big shelf in the kitchen, and everything in it. It's quite large, and has a lot of stuff standing on it, so of course it took quite some time. The bathroom had to wait that day.

Another time I decided it was time to clean the windows (one could hardly see through them). After the cloth accidentally hit my balcony door, leaving a big white "stain", I realised the whole door was black from living next to the highway. So I ended up cleaning the whole door, inside and outside, which turned out to be quite a project.

Today I wanted to take the trash out (all 3 of them - paper, plastic, normal), and realised how much glass I had standing around that needed to be thrown away too. I have to walk a little further to get to the glass trash, and since there's also a Red Cross container for old clothes at the same place I decided to bring some old clothes that's been lying in my hall for a while, waiting to be given away. I just wanted to quickly look through my wardrobe to check if there were more clothes I had stopped using that could go the same way... I ended up going through my whole wardrobe, filling 3 plastic bags of clothes and almost didn't make it to the container with the glass because the clothes were so heavy. I'm never more efficient cleaning up than when I'm supposed to work on my PhD..
