Drachenfels

Last Sunday Mischa and I went hiking up the dragon mountain south of Bonn. Since the weather was so great the day before (but unfortunately I had to work), we hoped it would stay for the whole weekend. It didn't quite, but it never rained, so we had a nice, though rather cold, hike that day. I was surprised how fast we conquered the "mountain", but having spent a cold hour up the top we were happy we didn't have to walk for hours to get back to our warm car. It was quite windy up there, but we managed to find a quiet place to set up my Norwegian storm kitchen and fry our pancakes with German "bacon" (which I'm not too sure is supposed to be fried!). Anyhow, we had a great trip, once again proving one doesn't have to make a huge effort to get out and enjoy the great nature!

Mischa, me, and die Rhein

Yummie! :-b

We sort of forgot plates so the lid of the pans had to do..

Mischa was getting cold, it was quite windy up there

Coffee! Yeah!

  1. You managed to get Mischa to go walking?! Really? Did this involve slipping drugs into his food?

I see some of my photos and some photos of me made it onto the page. Cool!

  2. Jupp! :o) It was really nice though rather cold and a bit windy. Up the mountain where we decided not to go because of your bad foot when you were here visiting..

I really like your photos! So hope it's ok that I put them here (I meant to ask at some point..)!
